2011.9.29 - Rain day is bad day for IPRO

Got rained out, have to wait at this little Esso station at Hwy9 waiting for the worst rain to pass.

2011.9.28 - Hamlet Swing Bridge

Working on the swing bridge today. Left home at 4:15am, 5:35am at the office, drove about 2 hours to get to the work site.

Started working in the rain but it turned out to be a nice day. We had quite a crew here, including steel inspectors, divers, geotechnical drilling team, coring team(us), and our client from Park Canada.

The color is change at this time of year, the water is not too cold, can't expect better days.

For the first time I stand in the middle of a swing bridge while it's opening.

There was a near miss incident though. When the bridge swung open, the wheel on the base of the pivot flatten the diver's power line, almost caused a short circuit.

When you work out there, you gonna be careful, be safe, and look out for others.

Voila, another 14hr day done. Tomorrow will starts at 4:30am but I don't know when that's gonna end.
